Dr. Lori Martinez-Rubio

Dr. Martinez-Rubio is a Board-Certified Periodontist and Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology. Born and raised in sunny Southern California. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of California, Los Angeles, where she received her Bachelor of Science in Psychobiology with a minor in Art History. She then obtained her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of California, San Francisco. Following the completion of her general training, she furthered her education at the Columbia University College of Dental Medicine, where she completed her certificate in Periodontics and master’s degree, while also serving as the program’s Chief Resident in her final year.

Throughout her education, Dr. Martinez-Rubio has always sought ways to give back to her community. While in dental school, she dedicated countless nights to helping UCSF’s student-run free dental clinic for underserved populations in the Bay Area. She is excited to continue working alongside patients and providers to improve oral health outcomes in the community and to ensure patients feel comfortable, confident, and motivated to address their oral health concerns. Dr. Martinez-Rubio is fluent in Spanish, which has facilitated her ability to provide care for patients in the diverse communities of Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York City, and she is excited to use these experiences to help treat patients in the greater Sacramento area.

In her spare time, Dr. Martinez-Rubio can be found reading a new memoir or training for her next marathon.
